The Black Walnut Inn, as well as the surrounding town and countryside, provide a delightful mix of rustic and rural, reminiscent of a bygone era. After a day exploring the region's famous waterfalls, museums and antique shops, come back and relax - enjoy the peace, serenity and breathtaking scenery of our 160-acre estate. The back deck faces the lake where you can relax, paddle a boat, fish, or watch deer, bald eagles, the occasional black bear, and other wildlife of Pike County.
Not only do we welcome well-behaved pets in our cabin - horses are also welcome! You can trailer yours in, and ride with us for the weekend. We offer horseback riding for all levels. Whether you're a seasoned cowpoke or you've never put on a pair of cowboy boots, thousands of acres of woodland trails assure a ride you will not soon forget.
