Things To Do

Morning at the Black Walnut Inn begins with a hearty, home-cooked breakfast. Guests
may enjoy their morning coffee while watching deer, great blue herons or the occasional
black bear strolling at the edge of our 4-acre lake. After dinner in one of the
fine restaurants in the Milford area, our guests may relax in front of the fireplace,
read a book on the porch, use the hot tub, or take a walk around the lake.

A warm, inviting, friendly alternative to commercial hotels, the Black Walnut Inn has a family-style ambience, where well-behaved children are always made to feel welcome. There are many beautiful locations on the property to have a picnic, and many trails on which to hike or take a nature walk. For our equestrian guests, thousands of acres of adjoining Pennsylvania State Game land offer riding trails with magnificent views. Horses may be boarded at our stables. Arrangements can be made in advance with our stable manager.
During the day, guests are welcome to relax on the large back deck, take a paddle boat out on the lake, play volleyball, Frisbee, or just stroll the acres of beautifully manicured lawns.
