When you book your vacation at The Black Walnut Inn, you can be assured of genuine hospitality.
- Gift Certificates: Purchase Black Walnut gift certificates for that special occasion. Available for lodging and horseback riding. Inquire at front desk.
 Rooms: There are 12 bedrooms in the main house, 4 with private bath, 4 with half-bath, and 4 with shared bath (which is a large bathroom in the hall, like you would have in your own home). The rooms are meant for two people; however some can accommodate a cot for a small child. All rooms have air conditioning during the summer months.
Suite: The Little Acorn, a suite adjoining the main house, has a full kitchen, full bathroom, and a bedroom/living room combination w/TV. There is one queen size bed and one queen size futon in the same room. A sliding glass door opens up to the deck and has a lake view.
 Cabin: Hidden in the woods, on the far shore of the lake, is the Little Walnut Cabin. It is only a short walk from the main house. This private, 3-bedroom cabin is perfect for families or small groups, and can house up to 7 people comfortably. There is a full, eat-in kitchen, full bathroom, living room with fireplace, television with VCR and DVD (sorry but we don't get TV reception at the cabin), and a deck with barbecue. The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen-size bed. The second bedroom upstairs has one double bed. There is a third loft bedroom with three single beds, great for kids. Pets are also allowed in the Little Walnut (please refer to the rules regarding pets in the Policies section of our website).

Policies:
Room Cancellation Policy:
 Because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. Of course we understand that plans change and you may need to cancel or modify your reservation. All cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. If canceled with more than one (1) week (more than 7 days) in advance your deposit (deposit = the equivalent of a one (1) night stay per room reserved, plus $25.00 cancellation fee) will not be refunded to your credit card. It will be refunded in the form of a credit letter that will have a one-year expiration. Reservations canceled on or within 7 days prior (14 days on holiday weekends) to arrival will forfeit the deposit (deposit = the equivalent of a one (1) night stay per room reserved, plus $25.00 cancellation fee). No-shows will be charged a penalty equal to One (1) night, per room reserved, as well as tax charges and a $25.00 cancellation fee.
- Smoking is not permitted inside our facility. There is a $150.00 fine for smoking, which will be charged to your credit card. We have provided ashtrays outside for smoking guests.
- Our Liquor License does not permit outside alcohol on premises.
- Deposit is equal to the amount of 1 night/per room reserved.
- We accept all major credit cards.
- Pet Policy (Cabin and Suite Only): If you must bring your pet, we require that you fax to us up-to-date vaccination records before your arrival. The pet must be leashed at all times while outside and also must be crated while you are out of the room. There is a charge of $36.57 per pet. If we determine that you have an unregistered pet in your room, your credit card will be charged for that pet. *Any damages caused by your pet will be charged to your credit card.*
- Notice to Guests: This property is privately owned. The management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. We will not be responsible for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.
