BreakfastBreakfast is served in the main dining room overlooking the lake. Please note that depending on the amount of guests, breakfast may be served buffet-style.

Morning at the Black Walnut Inn begins with a hearty, home-cooked breakfast. Guests may enjoy their morning coffee while watching deer, great blue herons or the occasional black bear strolling at the edge of our 4-acre lake. After dinner in one of the fine restaurants in the Milford area, our guests may relax in front of the fireplace, read a book on the porch, or take a walk around the lake.

WildlifeA warm, inviting, friendly alternative to commercial hotels, the Black Walnut Inn has a family-style ambience, where well-behaved children are always made to feel welcome. There are many beautiful locations on the property to have a picnic, and many trails on which to hike or take a nature walk. For our equestrian guests, thousands of acres of adjoining Delaware National Forest land offer riding trails with magnificent views. Horses may be boarded at our stables. Arrangements can be made in advance with our stable manager.

Kids PlayingDuring the day, guests are welcome to relax on the back deck, take a paddle boat out on the lake, play volleyball, Frisbee, or just stroll the property and relax.
